WHEN DOES THE SEASON START?
The season usually starts in late June to early July and continues through to early September, depending on the weather. In 2016 we opened in mid-June. With the wet cool May in 2017 we opened on July 9th.
WHEN ARE YOU OPEN FOR U-PICK?
Call ahead prior to coming (360-825-1623). This is a small farm and we want to guarantee you will have ripe berries. If you get here before closing then you can stay as long as needed to finish your picking. If you would like to come early or late give us a call and maybe we can accommodate you. We try to post our opening days and hours as soon as we can forecast them. It's hard to schedule openings too far in advance due to weather, picking pressure, etc.
HOW MUCH DO THE BERRIES COST?
$30 for large buckets (11-12 lbs approximately) and $15 for small buckets (5.5 -6 lbs approximately), same as 2017 and 2018.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Cash only.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
We provide buckets for picking. You need to bring bags/containers to take your berries home. There are restroom facilities and drinking water available. Bring sunscreen and a hat on sunny days - there is little to no shade in the field. There is a shady place to sit and a water supply.
DO YOU HAVE PRE-PICKED BERRIES AVAILABLE?
We can provide pre-picked berries in pints or flats. Call ahead to place an order (360-825-1623).
Pre-picked blueberry prices: $4.00/pint and $22/flat (6 pints).
WHY ARE THERE ROPED OFF AREAS?
Areas may be roped off for various reasons – wasp nests, unripe berries, etc.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Please leave your pets at home. Pets are not allowed anywhere on the property.
WHAT OTHER FIELD RULES ARE THERE?
Children are welcome. Children must stay with you, under your supervision, at all times. Be careful around the drip irrigation lines. Watch your step!
DO YOU USE PESTICIDES ON YOUR BLUEBERRY PLANTS?
Our berries do not need to be washed as there are no sprays on them. While we are not certified organic, we limit our chemical use to early season disease control prior to blooming.
HOW MANY VARIETIES OF BLUEBERRY ARE AT THE FARM?
There are nine primary varieties with at least fifty bushes each. There are another seven varieties each with a few bushes. We have early ripening varieties as well as late ripening ones so we have a relatively long season.
